Which Guanyin is Ziyi Guanyin?

Ziyi Guanyin is the Guanyin statue of Putuo Mountain. It is said that it is made of white jade and shaped in the Ming Dynasty. It is one of the most famous Guanyin statues in Putuo Mountain. The legend of Ziyi Guanyin originated from the records of Putuo Mountain. According to records, in the Ming Dynasty, a Buddhist official invited craftsmen to build a Guanyin statue for Putuo Mountain with white jade. The craftsmen brought white jade from Hangzhou and began carving at the top of Mount Putuo. A few years later, they finally completed the Guanyin statue in Ziyi. This statue of Guanyin in purple clothes is as high as 1.8 meters. It is all white and graceful. The purple clothes of Guanyin Bodhisattva hung on her body, fluttering and dancing, her kind and dignified appearance and smiling eyes revealed the holiness and charm of Guanyin Bodhisattva.
