At the same time, the "Regulations on Name Registration (Draft)" also stipulates that in order to prevent the abuse of name rights and frequent name changes, after the implementation of the regulations, Chinese citizens who have reached the age of 18 will apply for name change registration. The regulations also stipulate that those who apply for name registration or name change registration with false certification materials shall be given a warning by the household registration authority and fined below 500 yuan. Whoever defrauds the name registration or changes the name registration shall be fined in 800 yuan.
