Hubei province is rich in Lagerstroemia indica.

There is a scenic spot in Jianshi, Hubei Province, hidden in a deep mountain canyon. It has always enjoyed the title of "the first ancient human being in the world and the first ancient river in the world", and is also known as the most beautiful canyon of National Highway 3 18.

This is Shimen River Scenic Area, which has been renamed Geocentric Valley Scenic Area. It is located in Gaoping Town, Jianshi County, Hubei Province, and belongs to the national 4A-level scenic spot. It is only about 1 hour away from Enshi Airport, and the traffic is very convenient.

After entering the scenic spot, the red pavilion is Jiayin Pavilion. Tujia people create gongs and drums in collective farm work and pray for a bumper harvest in the form of songs, which means waiting for good news.

Along the cliff plank road around the whole mountain, you are in a pure natural green canyon. Even on a hot day, the temperature in the canyon is only about 20 degrees, making it an ideal summer resort.

There is a complex for Enshi, which comes from the plank roads on these cliffs, just like the mythical ladder, and these cliff plank roads have also become a beautiful scenery.

After entering the Sun Moon Gate, it began to enter the downhill section and enter the center of the earth. The origin of the Sun Moon Gate is because when the sun rises in the morning, the sun shines on the hole above, and at night, the moon shines on the hole below, so the Sun Moon Gate is the door of the sun and the moon, which is very magical.

The dragon's head is a branch symbolizing the dragon's head. The second day of the second lunar month is the day when dragons look up. Tujia people will worship dragons in the form of dragon head festival, praying for good weather, abundant crops and prosperous people.

Looking up, I saw a very vivid giant ape head hanging on the cliff, and once again lamented the wonders of nature.

The deeper into the center of the earth, the more downhill. First winding up, then circling down, ups and downs, along the way can be described as thrilling and inspiring.

There is also a singing platform in the canyon. Chi Li, a famous female writer, was inspired by the singing platform for her novella "Shout for Pleasure". Of course, you can also shout out your voice here. There are echoes from nature here.

Very unique landforms, mountains piled with stones.

Overlooking the canyon on the plank road, you can see the swift Shimen River. In fact, it's not like this on weekdays. It rains quickly after a few days.

There are also rich plant species in Shimen River Canyon. This tall jujube tree looks a bit abrupt in the canyon.

Follow the plank road all the way to Tongtianmen, just like a big crack in the middle of the rock. There was a strong crustal movement around Shimen River 200 million years ago. After hundreds of millions of years of scouring, cutting and joint development, the Tongtian Gate was formed.

Entering the center of the earth, the deeper the environment, the waterfall on the mountain pours down like a white silver belt.

The water of Shimen River has become very turbid after many days of rain erosion. Before coming, the river here should be green and transparent, and it is another semporna in Enshi, but I missed it again.

There is a returning pond in Shimen River Canyon. A boulder looks like a "Hui" and a boulder looks like a "turtle", symbolizing the return of all living things to nature.

The Shimen River has a large water level difference, and the current is fast. In the canyon, you can hear the sound of running water rising and falling, which is like a rock-breaking.

Stone heads on both sides of Shimen River are plastic sculptures deposited over the years, with different shapes, telling the vicissitudes of nature for thousands of years.

You can imagine how exciting it is to kayak on the crystal clear river on a sunny day. The weather is very cool.

You can also see the stone mortar phenomenon in the valley. The amazing stone shape is formed by the long-term erosion and corrosion of powerful water flow.

When you get to Shimen Bridge, you can see the Millennium sacred tree Lagerstroemia indica. The magic of this tree is that it blooms three times a year, peels once, seeds do not germinate when they fall to the ground, and branches do not graft. Therefore, it is regarded as a sacred tree by local Tujia people and often comes here to worship. It is said that burning incense and wishing here is very effective.
