(1) Splitting method Splitting method is that when the rootstock grows to 6-8 true leaves and the scion grows to 5-7 true leaves, put the rootstock on the grafting operation table, keep two true leaves, and cut the rest flat with a blade, and vertically cut a cut with a depth of 1.2 cm on the stem; Pull out the scion seedlings, keep 2 ~ 3 true leaves, cut off the lower part, cut into a wedge shape equivalent to the incision of the rootstock, then insert it into the incision of the rootstock, carefully align it, and fix it with a grafting clip. (2) The age of grafted seedlings by oblique transplanting method is the same as that by split transplanting method. When grafting, the rootstock keeps two true leaves, and the scion is cut into a plane with the same area and shape as the rootstock but opposite direction. The cutting surfaces of rootstock and scion are aligned and attached tightly, and fixed with special grafting clips. (3) Insertion method Insertion method is a grafting method in which bamboo sticks or metal rods are put into the jack at the top or upper part of the rootstock seedling stem, and the cut eggplant scion stem is inserted into the jack to form grafted seedlings. According to the different splicing positions of eggplant seedlings on rootstock stems, splicing methods can be divided into two forms: top splicing and upper splicing. (4) Sticking method Sticking method is also called sticking bud grafting method. The grafting method is to cut off the roots of young scions, leaving only short hypocotyls, or cut off branches with axillary buds as a unit, obliquely cut the rootstock seedlings from the top with a blade, then stick the cut surface of eggplant scions or branches on the cut surface of rootstock, and fix them to form grafted seedlings. (5) Docking method The docking method is to horizontally cut the seedling stems of the rootstock and the scion eggplant from the parts to be combined, and then insert the connecting column into the seedling stems of the eggplant and the rootstock, so that the seedling stems of the eggplant and the rootstock are closely aligned to form the grafted seedlings. (6) Casing Grafting Eggplant Casing Grafting is a new method of eggplant grafting in Japan in recent years. The seedling raising and cutting procedures of rootstocks are the same as those of grafting. The grafting part is not fixed with a grafting clip, but covered with a C-shaped plastic pipe with a length of 1.2 ~ 1.5 cm and parallel inclined surfaces at both ends. With the help of the tension of plastic pipe, the joint surface of eggplant seedling and rootstock is closely attached. With the growth of grafted seedlings, the stems of seedlings became thicker, the openings of plastic pipes gradually became larger and finally fell off.
