Kaifu temple, located in Xinhe, outside the north gate of Changsha City, Hunan Province, is close to Xiangjiang River. It was founded in 927, the second year of Ming Zong Tiancheng in the late Tang Dynasty during the Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms period. It is one of the key Buddhist monasteries in China, and it is the Yang Qi School of Zen. From 65438 to 0997, Master Nengjing participated in the international Buddhist exchange meeting held in Japan at the invitation of "China-Korea-Japan Buddhist Fund Link".

In 2000, at the invitation of the Buddhist community in Taiwan Province, Master Nengjing went to Bao Dao to give lectures. In 2002, at the invitation of the Korean Buddhist community, Master Nengjing participated in the China Buddhist delegation and visited Korea. Li Mian, a scholar in the Ming Dynasty, wrote the poem "kaifu temple": "I love inviting scenery and painting screens by natural people. The water is bright as a mirror, and the mountains are green as snails. Hold the monkey back to the hole and rush to the cloud crane to rest. Calm and sedentary, full of leisure. "

The main buildings in kaifu temple

1, mountain gate

The gate is a granite archway with three or four pillars, with three short eaves on the top, yellow glazed tiles on the top, a treasure top in the middle, and a kiss from the whole fish. The pillars on the gate square are painted with reliefs, figures, flowers and trees, and the colors are elegant. The couplets on both sides were written by Han Hong, a famous calligrapher and a history of Hunan Province, in the 11th year of Jiaqing (1806): "A purple flower is a phoenix, and a blue sea is a dragon".

2. Qian Dian

The front hall is Maitreya Hall, also known as Three Temples. It is three rooms wide, with square columns on the outer eaves and columns on the inner eaves, all carved from granite. The temple, dedicated to the three saints of the West, is no longer there. Today, it is dedicated to Maitreya, the back of Bodhisattva Wei Tuo and the sides of the four heavenly kings. Maitreya Buddha is the image of a cloth-bag monk in the Song Dynasty.

There are four heavenly kings on both sides, namely, the King of the East, the King of the South, the King of the West with Big Eyes and the King of the North as we all know. On the back of Maitreya, Wei Tuo, the protector of three continents, is enshrined. Holding the magic army of Baodi town, it is difficult to succeed.
