Is the rose a salt-tolerant plant?

Roses belong to saline-alkali tolerant plants.

Speaking of common saline-alkali tolerant plants, they can be divided into three categories according to their characteristics:

The first is salt-tolerant plants. The root cells of these plants have little permeability to salt and hardly absorb salt. Generally, it can only grow in slightly salinized soil.

The second type is halophytes, whose osmotic pressure is generally above 40 atmospheres, and can flourish in high salinity soil, such as halophytes and atriplex.

The third kind is salt-secreting plants, which can not only grow in saline-alkali environment, but also excrete salt from the body through secretory glands on the surface of stems and leaves, thus improving the ability to absorb water from salt water. Tamarix chinensis and Elaeagnus Elaeagnus fall into this category.

According to many years of experience in landscaping engineering, the saline-alkali tolerance of seedlings can be divided into five grades, of which 1 grade is the weakest and grade 5 is the strongest.

The following are the corresponding tree species listed according to their grades:

Grade 2 (soil salt tolerance is 0.2-0.4%)
