Nanjing Zhenghe Park is located on the east side of the middle section of Taiping South Road, Qinhuai District, Nanjing. Founded in 1953, it was originally named Taiping Park. To commemorate the 580th anniversary of Zheng He's voyage to the West, it was renamed Zheng He Park on May 3, 1985. Zhenghe Park covers an area of 2.2 hectares with a building area of 2 100 square meter. There are antique double pavilions, elegant cloisters and courtyard-style Zheng He Memorial Hall in the park.

Development history

Nanjing Zhenghe Park is a park with a close historical relationship with Zhenghe. In the fifth year of Yongle in Ming Dynasty (A.D. 1407), Zheng He returned from the Western Ocean for the first time. In order to thank Mazu, the sea god, for protecting Zheng He's navigation safety, Judy built the "Tianfei Palace in Longjiang" and wrote the "Tianfei Palace Monument in Puji, Hong Ren" in person, which greatly praised Tian Fei. This monument is about 6 meters high and weighs 27 tons. Inscription 699 words, Jiangsu provincial cultural relics protection units.
