The carved building is famous at home and abroad, surrounded by ginkgo trees and orange orchards, and the environment is elegant. It is the reception window of the people's government of Wuxian Municipal Committee of Dongshan. As early as 1950s, Diaohualou Hotel was the guest house where the county committee and government of Zhenze County were located, and later governed Wuxian City, targeting "Wuxian Gao Qian Guest House" and "Wuxian Dongshan People's Government Guest House". 1994 1 month, officially renamed as "Wuxian Diaohualou Hotel".

Originally named Chunzailou, Diaohualou was named after the meaning of "the first spring is always at Xiangyang Gate". Its building is tall, spacious and magnificent; The carving is unique and ingenious, both practical and ornamental. This is a manor-style building that imitates Jin Xizhi and Jin Zhi brothers. The Jin family's ancestral business is not thick. It was run by the Kim brothers, and even after a short period of more than ten years, it became the largest landlord in Dongshan. From 1922 to 1925, in order to show off their wealth, the Jin brothers selected first-class high-quality materials and invited skilled craftsmen to build the first carved building in Dongshan at the cost of 374 1 2 gold. Tourists linger in it, glittering and dazzling, as if they were in the upper world. Around the carved building, there is a high and steep retaining wall coated with black asphalt. Seen from a distance, it looks like a black castle. At the east gate is a brick-carved gatehouse engraved with "Pure Tin in Heaven", which means pure gold is a godsend. Ganoderma lucidum, peony, chrysanthemum, orchid, pomegranate, bat, bergamot, Xiangyun and other objects are embossed on the upper layer, middle layer and lower layer respectively, which means "long life, wealth, many children, good luck and Buddha's blessing". In the middle of the ridge, a square box made of bean green was placed, planted with evergreen; And plastic figures such as "setting an example first" and "making money to benefit the market". Looking at the gatehouse again, the four characters "Yu Xiujue De" are engraved in the middle of the gatehouse, which is in harmony with the "Tian Xi Chun Wei" outside the gatehouse. Brick carving skills are superb. On the upper floor, the Eight Immortals celebrate their birthdays, with the Queen Mother and the birthday girl in the middle, while the Eight Immortals float to the banquet. The middle layer is "Ten Deer Scenery", with different postures, such as lying, standing, jumping and running. The lower floor is Guo Ziyi's 80th birthday celebration. There are three statues of "Fu Lushou" carved on the three outposts to show that the three stars are shining high, which is endless fun. On the left side of the gatehouse, the "Yaoshun Zen" round carving is regarded as a "sage"; On the right, the round carving of "Wang Wen's visit to Xian" is regarded as "virtue". There are more than a dozen groups of operas and paintings carved in the whole gatehouse, with distinct levels, vivid images and far-reaching implications.

The carved building, on the second floor, is actually a three-story building. On the third floor, two purlins are indented and hidden on it, looking up from the court and overlooking the building.

Dongshan scenery. There is a pavilion on the east side of the front building. You can enter the pavilion without going downstairs, overlooking the garden and enjoying the moon. Doors and windows balustrades are carved with designs such as Song He Yan nian, Taigong 80, Ziyi Celebration, Phoenix wearing peony, Hehe Erxian, Twenty-four Filial Pieties, Eight Immortals Crossing the Sea, Romance of the Three Kingdoms, and Romance of the West Chamber. The word "longevity" is engraved on the top of the door, and the bat-shaped pin-shaped bat and ancient money in the bottom sill mean "long life with head raised, happy feet and rich hands"; The glass upstairs is divided into red, yellow, blue and green. Looking at the valley and fields through the glass, you can feel the different scenery of the four seasons. The beams, trusses, columns and eaves of the whole building are also carved with flowers or feathers. Legend has it that the carver is a young man who was born with smallpox, but his skills are superb. As long as people's landscapes, flowers, birds, insects and fish are all carved by him, lifelike and lifelike. The most detailed and numerous carving is the lobby below the main building. All the beams, columns, windows and lattices are carved everywhere. Only the beam head is engraved with dozens of paintings of Romance of the Three Kingdoms, and all 24 filial piety paintings are engraved on the window frame. There are 178 phoenixes carved in the hall, also known as the Phoenix Hall, which gives people a dazzling array of beautiful enjoyment.

You should pay attention to the ornamental carving art in the carved building, but the small garden in the north of the building, though small in area, captures the essence of Jiangnan gardens. The small garden is long and narrow, with half architecture and half landscape, which is unique in Suzhou gardens. Pavilions and pavilions in the garden are exquisitely arranged, rockeries in the pool are densely and symmetrically arranged, bamboo stalagmites symbolize spring, lotus pond bridges decorate summer, crape myrtle and osmanthus render autumn, Tianzhu wintersweet sets off the cold winter, and the scenery in the four seasons is beautiful. There are fifteen kinds of animal shapes piled on the winding rockery, which are similar in appearance and interesting. The building is known as "the only building in the south of the Yangtze River", and more than 60 films and TV series have been filmed here, so it is also known as "the first film and television building in the world".

There are also four carved halls in Suzhou, which are of high artistic value and architectural level. There are two exquisite and unique small carved buildings in the No.9 Shenzhai of North Zhangjiaxiang, which were built more than 70 years earlier than Dongshan Carved Building. The whole hall is carved with clouds, flowers, birds and animals. Under the bottom porch, with hexagonal support, there are pairs of lion heads, bats, cranes and ganoderma lucidum carved. The characters are very delicate and beautiful. All panes have many patterns.
