What's the difference between DBH, meter diameter and ground diameter?

DBH refers to the diameter of the trunk at 1.3m above the ground.

The meter diameter refers to the diameter of the trunk at 1.0 meters above the ground.

The diameter of the ground refers to the diameter of the trunk 0. 1 m above the ground.

There is no uniform regulation on the representation method of seedling size in China, and the same plant (tree) seedling can be represented by meter diameter or breast diameter. The specific matters shall be negotiated in advance by the tree (seedling) material supplier to reach an understanding.

Variety difference of ground diameter.

According to different varieties, the starting position of some seedlings is 10cm or 30cm above the ground, and the starting position of a few varieties is 5cm. There is no uniform standard in China at present. Different varieties have different starting distances, and different regions have different starting distances. Unless otherwise specified, the starting position of ground diameter is generally 10cm by default.
