Suzhou mingyuan changyuan

Temple Street in the city covers an area of about one mu. The plan layout is a central chisel pool surrounded by buildings. It is a common technique for small and medium-sized gardens in Suzhou, with compact space configuration and rich scenery levels, which is representative in similar gardens. From the garden gate to the Guihua Hall, across the yard to Tonghua Bookstore, the whole garden will be displayed. The swimming pool occupies a quarter of the whole park, and the shore is surrounded by lake rocks. Fifty heavy stone bridges stand at the southern end, and the pool surface is divided into two. Trees and flowers such as Pinus bungeana, Lagerstroemia indica, pomegranate and sweet clover are sparsely planted along the coast. Along the east wall to the north, the hexagon extends to become a fun pavilion and a square pavilion. The promenade is winding and undulating, surrounded by water walls, and decorated with bamboo and stone pieces to increase interest. After the pavilion on the north bank, it is the Liuyun Mountain Room in the main hall. The platform in front of the hall faces the pool, which is also one of the main viewing points in the garden. From the west corridor to the south, to the ship hall to wash dust, the pool on the east side of the hall, opposite the rest pavilion. Further south, you can climb the rockery in the southwest corner. The top of the hill is the reception pavilion, which is the highest place in the whole park. Go down the mountain from the pavilion along the stone shelf through the cave, or go back to Tonghua Bookstore along the south diagonal corridor.
