The background story of Yunyang Mountain in Chaling

The Holy Emperor of Nanyue discovered that there were just 72 peaks in Hengshan Mountain, so he built Nanyue Palace in Hengshan Mountain. After the completion of the palace, many immortals went to congratulate. Grandfather and Guanyin also went. The old gentleman said, "Yunyang in Chaling has good scenery and good feng shui. Why not build a palace there? " The holy emperor of Nanyue said, "Everything is fine in that mountain, but it is only 71 peaks." The old man sighed again and again.

Guanyin Bodhisattva heard that Yunyang Mountain was so good, so when she returned to the South China Sea, she deliberately turned to Yunyang Mountain. She stood on Wei Zifeng and counted the peaks three times in a row. There were seventy-two peaks, many of them. Looking down, I found the bottom seal and two footprints of the holy emperor of Nanyue. The mountain was crumpled and folded by him, and suddenly some rocks were exposed. It turned out that he forgot to count the purple peaks under his ass, so one of the seventy-two peaks was missing.

Guanyin told Nanyue Sheng Di about it, and Nanyue Sheng Di regretted it. Later, he built a Summer Palace in Yunyang Mountain. Every year in June and July of the lunar calendar, the holy capital of Nanyue comes here for the summer. At this time, many people in more than a dozen counties in Fiona Fang went up the mountain to burn incense.
