What are the Taoist immortals?

Taoism is a polytheistic religion. In addition to believing in the Taoist gods directly under the Tai Shang Lao Jun and Zhang Tianshi, there are also gods, secular gods, ghosts, various ancestral gods, folk gods and miscellaneous gods, which people can worship.

The gods of Taoism are Sanqing, Yusi, Sanyuan, Sun and Moon, Wuxing and Sifang.

Sanqing: It is the general name of Jade Qing, Shangqing and Taiqing, and it is the three highest gods believed by Taoism who live in Sanqing Tiansanqing. Jade Qing refers to Tianzun (also known as Tianbaojun) from the beginning, Shangqing refers to Lingbao Tianzun (also known as Taishang Laojun) and Taiqing refers to moral Tianzun (also known as Taishang Laojun). Some people think that "one gasification and three cleanses" is the embodiment of this deity. Sanqing statues are mostly enshrined side by side in the main hall of Taoist temple.

Four Emperors: Four Emperors refer to emperors, and four Emperors are the collective names of the four heavenly emperors, ranking second only to Sanqing.

The four emperors are: the supreme jade emperor of Haotian Jinque, which is often said by the people, is the god who will always be in charge of heaven and has the highest status among the four emperors. The Central Purple Arctic Emperor is said to be the god who helped the Jade Emperor to take charge of the celestial latitude, the sun, the moon, the stars and the four seasons. Gouchen, the Emperor of Shanggong, assisted the Jade Emperor in charge of the three talents of the North and South poles, heaven and earth, and presided over the military revolution on earth. Inheriting heaven to imitate the emperor, also known as the emperor, or the emperor, is the goddess in charge of the fertility of Yin and Yang and the beauty of everything on the earth. There are also four emperors, namely, the Emperor Wei Zi in the Arctic, the Immortal Emperor in the Antarctic, the Taiji Emperor in the West and the Emperor Tsinghua in the East.

Three views: also known as ternary. Refers to Shangyuan Tianguan, Zhongyuan local official and Xiayuan water official. Legend has it that God blesses the people, local officials forgive sins, and water officials help Eritrea.

Eyes, Moon and Five Stars: Taoism worships the sun, moon and stars as gods. The sun is the god of Daming, a male image, decorated with golden sunshine. The moon is a luminous god, female image, dotted with white moonlight. In addition to the five stars, the sun, the moon and the seven nights, the twenty-eight nights and the Beidou are also the objects of Taoist worship.

Four Gods: refers to the dragon, white tiger, suzaku and Xuanwu, which originated from the legend of two ancient and eight lodging places.

Qinglong: the God of the East. Among the twenty-eight lodgings, seven lodgings in the east are imagined as Jackie Chan, which belongs to wood and is blue in color, so it is called Qinglong.

White tiger: the god of the west. Twenty-eight nights, seven nights in the west and China, are imagined as tigers, which belong to gold and are white, so they are called white tigers.

Suzaku: God of the South. Twenty-eight lodges and seven lodges in the south are imagined as birds, which belong to fire and are red in color, so they are called Suzaku Xuanwu: the god of the north. Seven of the twenty-eight lodges in the north are imagined as turtles, which belong to water and have mysterious colors, so they are called Xuanwu.

Taoism regards the above four gods as the patrons of the four directions, especially worshipping the northern Xuanwu. Xuanwu is Zhenwu, Zhenwu Emperor. Taoism regards Zhenwu as the ancestor of Raytheon and has always been in charge of the gods of wind, thunder and lightning. The worship of him has never weakened, and Zhenwu Temple has been built in many places.
