Why are bauhinia trees ticklish?

This tree is ticklish for the following reasons:

1. According to official website in Flora of China, Bauhinia is ticklish because the trunk of Lagerstroemia indica contains a special substance, which is similar to human sensory nerve and can sense external stimuli and react. When the reaction quickly reaches the treetops, the branches will shake.

2. The crown of Bauhinia tree is very big, but the trunk is thin and long, "top-heavy", the center of gravity is unstable and easy to shake, so it will tremble when touched slightly.

3. The wood of Cercis chinensis is special and has strong conductivity. When scratching its branches with your fingers, the vibration caused by friction can easily be transmitted to other parts, thus causing the branches to swing.
