Fraxinus chinensis can be grafted with osmanthus fragrans.

Grafting osmanthus fragrans with ash is not the best choice, but it is possible. For osmanthus fragrans, tassel is a suitable rootstock, which is not only cheap, but also has good affinity and can provide certain cold tolerance. Ash is weak in this respect. Although the survival rate is high and the growth rate is not slow, wintering is still a problem.
