It is a national key cultural relics protection unit.

According to folklore, Chen Wenyu is a demigod and demigod hero full of magical colors. During the reign of Chen Taijian, there was a villager named Richen in Baiyuan Village, Wuli, southwest of ancient Taizhou. P, who hunts for a living, has a dog with nine ears at home. Every time he goes out hunting, he shoots the dog's ear, and the prey corresponds to the dog's ear.

One day, nine ears moved together. Chen Tian said, "Today will be a great success!" " He invited more than a dozen neighbors to go to Wulong Mountain in the north of the state.

The mountain is densely covered with thorns, and the dog barks from morning till night, and no wild animal comes out.

The hunter was surprised by logging. When he saw the hound dig a big egg from the ground, Chen didn't know what it was, so he took it home.

The next morning, it was overcast with lightning and thunder.

Chen was frightened, so he put his eggs in court. Suddenly, the egg was opened by a thunderbolt, and a boy jumped out, with words in his hand, "Lei" on the left and "Zhou" on the right.

Chen reported the boy to the state government, which collected eggshells and sent them to the library. The boy was brought up by Chen and named.

Yu Wen is clever and diligent.

When I grow up, my skills are unparalleled, and my martial arts are unparalleled. He has been recommended many times. However, Yu Wen refused to be an official on the grounds that his parents were old. He once said to himself, "A gentleman can't be intimate." In order to entertain his parents for the rest of his life, he is willing to plead.

"Nine times out of ten, the Chen couple died in Tang Zhenguan for two years.

Yu Wen has been guarding the mausoleum for three years.

During the Zhenguan period of the Tang Dynasty, ethnic minorities such as Li, Yao, Zhuang, Tea, Dong and Miao lived in Nanhezhou.

In order to stabilize the frontier, the Tang Dynasty appointed the native Chen Wenyu as the state secretariat.

During Chen Wenyu's term of office, he thoroughly investigated the bureaucracy, patrolled the territory, eliminated the sufferings of the people, coexisted politics and religion, lived and worked in peace and contentment, made the people rich, and changed their customs greatly.

In addition to implementing the policy of virtue, Yu Wen deeply feels that the country is an important place in the south, and there are things in the four seas, which is a battleground for military strategists. In order to make Li Shu peaceful, he completely transformed the city. When public funds were not enough, he donated his salary, and renamed Guhezhou Leizhou without spending money.

The name of Leizhou began in the eighth year of Zhenguan in Tang Dynasty (AD 634) and is still in use today.

On the fifteenth day of the first month of the twelfth year of Zhenguan in the Tang Dynasty, just as the work of the city was over, Wen Yu grew wings and ascended to heaven during the day.

When the officials saw it, they all knelt down to the ground. Yu Wen is 68 years old.

In memory of this local official, the county people set up a shrine in Yingbang Mountain, five miles southwest of Zhoucheng, which is today's "Leizu Temple".

The temple is built on the mountain, north to south, and at the foot of the mountain is an endless ocean field, which is extremely magnificent.

The temple is divided into three entrances: the mountain gate, the main hall, the side hall, the back hall, the east and west halls, the bell and drum tower and the stele gallery, all of which are arranged along the central axis.

The bluestone steps along the mountain gate can reach the back hall directly, covering an area of more than 10 thousand square meters, and it is one of the largest ancestral halls in Lingnan area.

The entrance to the mountain is opened according to the width of three rooms in the house, which is a hard peak and hard mountain purlin structure.

Shanmen's couplet: "The thunderbolt opens the south as the ancestor, and the north of the sea is known by the same respect", which is a praise to the beautiful legend of Lei Zu's dying, "Being a father and a mother, being virtuous and prosperous".

Erjin Hall is the main building of the temple, which is divided into the main hall and the east and west halls.

There is a worship pavilion in front of the main hall. The whole building is arranged in a "convex" shape, which is dedicated to Chen Wenyu (middle), Li Taiwei (Li Guang in Han Dynasty, left) and Yingshan Stone God (right) in turn, commonly known as "the three halls of Leici".

Leizu Temple has a long history and is rich in cultural relics. There are more than 30 Millennium stone statues, the plaque of Qianlong Imperial Kick and the inscriptions of past dynasties.

Celebrities, poets and writers of all ages have left touching poems.

Kou Zhun has poems, Dongpo has poems, Ding Wei wrote notes in the Song Dynasty, and Li Gang wrote inscriptions. These poems and songs have gone through the vicissitudes of the world and are still treasured in temples, which can be called the treasures of the motherland's cultural relics.

There are many myths and legends about Leizu Temple, one of which is a beautiful legend about a stone man in the Millennium: In Kaiping for four years in the Five Dynasties, the robber Fu and others refused to pay taxes and food, advocated chaos, and incited ethnic disputes, which made Leizhou restless.

The imperial envoys all know Sima Chenxiang, who led the 12 ship to encircle.

At that time, Fu and others were stationed in the teacher's temple. Because the court officers and soldiers were not familiar with the situation, they were invincible.

Later, Zhen Chen prayed for Lei Zu and posted a list of recruits in front of the temple.

The next day, when the war resumed, Sean saw Lei Zu Chen Wenyu and Han Taiwei Li Guang cooperate with Yin Binglai to help. The battle was won, but the thief was finally caught.

At night, Sean dreamed of Lei Zu's eyes: "The thief came to surrender to me, and I was locked in front of the temple and turned into a stone man.

"When it was dawn, I looked up and saw four stone men kneeling in the courtyard, and one of them was killed.

Leizhou was peaceful from then on, and Sean and others paid homage to Leizu and learned about it from the court. In the second year of Kaiping, the court ordered the county to rebuild Leizu Temple, and built Li Taiwei Temple in the west of Leizu Temple, and set up a statue of Taiwei, which was listed as "Lei Zi Three Halls" together with Yingshan Stone God.

Leizu Temple was built in the 16th year of Zhenguan in Tang Dynasty, and it has been over 1350 years.

There are many records in local chronicles, such as Liu Yao's Records of Mountain Living in the Tang Dynasty, Records of Taiping Universe in the Song Dynasty, A Tour of Scenery in the Song Dynasty, Xinyu in Guangdong in the late Ming and early Qing Dynasties, Ziwuyu, etc., as well as contemporary books such as China God, Extraordinary World and China Worship.

Among the world-famous "Four Wonders in the World" (Leizhou Drum Meeting, Qiantang River Tide, Guangde Burial and Dengzhou Haicheng), "Leizhou Drum Meeting" is a folk custom that happened in Leizu Temple.

"Changing drums in Leizhou" is a grand ceremony of "sacrificing thunder" held by ancient Leizhou people in Leizu Temple.

"Lei Zuzhi" contains: "As for-.

Thunder cars, thunder drums and other things are hidden in the temple in the form of plates for the county people to build as servants. On the first day of the Yuan Dynasty, civil and military officials of the Duke of Qi sent sacrifices to the ancestral temple, which was called "thunder" that day.

It's another party.

When the government and the people have fun together, the weather is good. Otherwise, they will be very fierce. There will naturally be prayers, and Lei Jun will enjoy the blessings of the country and the people. "

"Guangdong New Language" says: "On June 24th, Leizhou people will offer thunder as a reward and pray for the ink of Leigong to cure evil and torsional vibration? ]. "Leigong Mill" is a kind of meteorite, which was called "Leigong Stone" or "Thunderbolt" in ancient Leizhou. U ",and as a thing to ward off evil spirits and avoid disasters, it can be seen that the ancient Leizhou people carved Leigong as a powerful symbol that can benefit or harm people, so the solemnity of the ceremony of" sacrificing Lei "is self-evident.

Now "Changing Drum in Leizhou" has long been lost, and contemporary Leizhou people can only get a glimpse of it from ancient books.
