Chaohu Lake Scenery 19: Fushan Fishing Platform

Diaoyutai in Qiu Fu, located on the ruxu River, is a huge stone cliff extending to the river. The cliff is wide and flat, shaped like a chess table.

According to the Chronicle of Chaoxian written by Emperor Kangxi of the Qing Dynasty, "Gong traveled all over the country with the prince, living in the purple cave of the northern Wei Dynasty in Qi Mu, Wang Ziqiao, where he grew an alchemist. Qiu Fuguong loved his south and needed water, so he went fishing." Later generations renamed Wei Zidong Wang bridge opening, and called the stone cliff where fishermen fished "Diaoyutai", because the fisherman was a floating mountain male, also known as "floating mountain fishing platform".

The cliff is engraved with the word "floating mountain fishing platform" in the Song Dynasty, and the postscript is "Su Wengti". There is a cave under the cliff, about 5 Li Long. Sculptures and caves in the Song Dynasty have been submerged for many years, but only in years of severe drought can caves be exposed and tourists can enter.

Fushan Diaoyutai is one of the ten scenic spots in the ancient nest. During the Hongzhi period of the Ming Dynasty, Lin Zongzhe, the magistrate of Chao County, wrote a poem "Floating Mountain Fishing Platform". The poem says:
