Wei Zi Qujiang Yijing 125
Two Poems by Qujiang
Du Fu, a poet in Tang Dynasty
A flower flew away, but it was spring, and the wind was so sad.
And look at the flowers and eyes, don't hurt your lips.
Emeralds are nested in the small hall by the river, and unicorns lie on the edge of the garden.
If we push physics carefully, there will be eating, drinking and having fun, so why not go this way as a floating glory.
Translation:
Falling a petal makes people feel that spring has faded. Nowadays, the wind blows thousands of flowers to the ground. How can it not worry people? And watching falling flowers fly by, I won't be tired of too many wine inlets. Jade birds nest in the buildings on Qujiang River, and the stone unicorn, who once lived in the sky, is now lying on the ground. A careful study of the truth of the ups and downs of things is to eat, drink and be merry in time. Why should we let vain honor bind ourselves?

Creation background
This poem was written in the first year of Gan Yuan (758). Although the capital was recovered at that time, the military revolution did not stop. The author saw the chaos caused by political corruption in the Tang Dynasty, and his mood was very chaotic.
Visiting Qujiang is in late spring, so poetry is very sad for spring. The poet mourns the time by writing about the desolation and corruption of Qujiang scenery. In his poems, the poet integrated Qujiang and Datang, regarded the rise and fall of Qujiang more seriously than Datang, pinned all his grief on Qujiang, and wrote the changes of the world more vividly from one side.
