pine needle

Baokang pine needle is a kind of strip green tea, which is produced in Baonandianya Town and Baobeihuangbao, Baokang County, Xiangyang City, Hubei Province. It is recorded in the Tang Dynasty that Qianlong became famous in the Qing Dynasty. Its quality features are: tight and straight shape, smooth and round, emerald green, high aroma of endoplasm, light green soup color, mellow taste and tender leaves. The fresh leaves of Baokang pine needles are usually picked in the garden in Tomb-Sweeping Day for about five or six days, and the raw materials require one bud and one leaf. Seize the sunny day, don't pick insect wounds, chilblain buds, fish leaves and stems. Fresh leaves are harvested, and the processing method is divided into four processes: enzyme fixation, pot kneading, sweating and drying.

Four famous flowers

Wild Chimonanthus praecox: Only a few countries in China and the United States survive in the world. China only found a large area of more than 4,000 hectares and more than 500,000 plants in Baokang. 1984, the world's first wild Chimonanthus praecox nature reserve was established in Baokang.

Wild peony: When it comes to peony, people naturally think of Luoyang and Heze peony first, but Luoyang Heze peony belongs to domestic peony, while Baokang wildflower valley peony is pure wild, with five original species and 1 subspecies, accounting for half of the world's original peony species, with a distribution area of 160 hectares and100000 plants, which is recognized by famous peony experts at home and abroad.

Yunjin Rhododendron: With its "Gu Gan as iron, branches as hooks, flowers as peonies", it has become the Jiao Jiao of Baokang wildflowers. There are more than 20 mountains with a total area of more than 5,000 hectares and more than 2.5 million plants. At the end of spring every year, pink and green flowers are everywhere, competing to open, just like brocade.

Another wonderful flower in Baokang Wildflower Valley. Every time Lagerstroemia indica is in bud, it looks very fragrant after the rain, and the fresh stamens are more delicate and delicious. Baokang Wildflower Valley has more than 500,000 native and cultivated Lagerstroemia plants on more than 9,000 hectares of land, of which more than 500 years old Lagerstroemia plants have 1 10,000 plants. Lagerstroemia indica not only has bright colors, particularly long flowering period, but also has the special function of resisting gases such as carbon dioxide, so it has become the best guardian of modern urban greening and environmental protection.

Shen tofu

There are ordinary and magical trees in the deep mountain of Baokang, called Tofu Chai and Guanyin Tree, also called "bean jelly tree". The leaves of "Shenshu" can be used to make tofu, and the roots, stems and leaves have the effects of clearing away heat and toxic materials, reducing swelling and stopping bleeding. "Shen tofu" contains a lot of pectin, protein, cellulose, chlorophyll and vitamin C. Historically, local mountain people would knead leaves into food. This kind of tree that can be made into tofu is called "sacred tree" by local people, and this kind of green tofu is called "sacred tofu".

Konjac contains a variety of plant polysaccharides, the content of which is as high as 40-50%, which can effectively prevent constipation, gallstones and colon cancer, and has an auxiliary effect on hemorrhoids and venous tumors. Eating more konjac flour can regulate the balance of insulin in the body and prevent diabetes.

Perennial parasitic herbs. The whole plant has no chlorophyll and has fleshy tubers when it matures. It contains geraniol, sugar, trace alkaloids and other substances, and is a precious Chinese medicine.
