Taoism is a typical polytheism, with a complex system of gods and a large number of gods. Tao is invisible, but it breeds everything in the world. There are four gods in Taoism: orthodox Taoism, folk beliefs, ancient myths and ghost novels. In Taoism, "God" refers to a natural saint, and "Immortal" refers to a person who cultivates after tomorrow.
People usually use or mix the words "God" and "Fairy". The god of orthodox Taoism is called "respecting God", and the god of folk belief is called "vulgar God". Fictional gods in ghost novels are generally not included in the category of Taoist worship.
Sanqing is the highest god and leader of Taoism: Jade Qing Yuan Shi Tian Zun, Qing Qing Lingbao Tian Zun and Tai Qing Moral Tian Zun, which are collectively called "nothing nature, three treasures". The trinity of Sanqing is the embodiment of Tao. Tao Te Ching says, "Tao gives birth to one, two, three and everything." The Buddha in the early Yuan Dynasty symbolizes the "infinite" state of "the world is invisible and everything is unborn".
Lingbao Buddha symbolizes the "Tai Chi" state of "chaos begins to judge, yin and yang begin to separate", while moral Buddha symbolizes the "harmony-worshipping state of" advocating qi for harmony and turning everything into life ". At the beginning of the Yuan Dynasty, God created heaven and earth, robbing Yu Qing's father for Long Hanzu; Lingbao Tianzun everything, robbing the leader of the Qing Dynasty with bare hands; Moral heaven teaches the world, in order to open the emperor and rob the founder of Taiqing.
