Why is Badaguan called Badaguan?

Badaguan was named because eight roads (now ten) were named after the famous pass of the ancient Great Wall in China. This is a famous villa area, known as the "World Architecture Museum". About 10 roads have been built in this area, all named after the ancient military pass in China, including Zijingguan Road, Ning Wuguan Road and Shaoguan Road, which connect Hong Kong West Road vertically, and Wushengguan Road, Jiayuguan Road, Hanguguan Road, Zhengyangguan Road, Linhuaiguan Road, Juyongguan Road and Shanhaiguan Road, which are intertwined horizontally, commonly known as Badaguan.

Badaguan this area includes more than eight streets named "Guan", which cover many European classical buildings. A few of them were built during German rule (1897- 19 14), and most of them were built in 1930. It is very different from the usual China City, with a large lawn and few pedestrians. Many residents in this area are retired party, government and military officials. There are various architectural styles from more than 20 countries including Russia, Britain, France, Germany, the United States, Denmark, Greece, Spain, Switzerland and Japan.

On the west is the bright American building "Donghai Hotel"; Near the second bathing beach, Huiquan Auditorium is newly built after liberation. A new peach grove has been planted in the northeast corner of Badaguan, which has become another good place for people to go for a spring outing. The southwest corner is lined with cypresses, and the paired cypresses are separated into "boxes". Many couples fall in love, so it is also called "Love Corner".
