Is it safe to travel to Vietnam?

Vietnam's economic development level is relatively backward, and prices should be relatively low. However, I don't know if it is because there are more tourists from China in recent years that the prices in Vietnam today don't look as we expected, and many of the same goods are even more expensive than in our country.
