Cultivation environment Soil flowers grow in sandy soil with fertile soil, loose soil and good drainage. Potted soil, peat soil and coarse sand can be mixed with a small amount of organic fertilizer, and the pH value is controlled between 5 and 5.5.

Watering elixir flowers is resistant to moisture and dryness. Sufficient water is needed at the initial stage of growth to keep the soil moist, which is beneficial to bud germination and leaf growth. Don't water too much, the soil will accumulate water, which will cause some roots to rot and affect the growth and flowering. If the water supply is insufficient, defoliation will occur.

Sunshine The growth of elixir flowers needs plenty of sunshine, especially the growth of stems and leaves. Adequate sunshine can ensure that the leaves are light green and shiny, which is conducive to the formation of inflorescences and orderly flowering. If you grow in a semi-shady environment, the leaves are yellow, the color is light and the flowers are sparse. However, it is moderately shaded when the sun is sunny in summer. It can prolong the flowering period.

Temperature The suitable growth temperature of elixir flower is 15~25℃, the temperature is controlled at 24~30℃ from March to September, the debt is controlled at 13~ 18℃ from September to March next year, and the winter temperature is above 0℃, so it is safe to overwinter. In a word, the elixir flower has strong adaptability to temperature, can withstand high temperature above 32℃, and can still grow.

Fertilize once every half a month during the growth period, mainly with organic compound fertilizer, supplemented by ferrous sulfate and horseshoe. Before application, the fertilizer is mixed with water and used after decomposition and fermentation.

Apply 1 time every half month during the growth period, and mix the liquid fertilizer with nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium and horseshoe slices according to the ratio of1:1:2: 3.

Pruning Pruning It's spring now, and the plants have just moved outdoors, so they should be pruned properly to ensure ventilation and lighting. In addition, the heart can be picked properly during flowering to promote the pregnancy and flowering of flower buds.

Note: The soil where the elixir flowers grow should be kept slightly acidic. Be careful not to pour alkaline water when watering. A small amount of ferrous sulfate can be applied every month.

Potted elixirs in southern China can be maintained outdoors in winter, and plants can be covered with plastic film to keep warm in case of cold current. The northern region needs to be moved indoors for maintenance.
