Wei Zishu can graft peach trees, and the survival rate of rootstocks and scions between different genera in the same family is lower, because the genetic relationship is farther than that between the same family and genus, but it is not absolutely impossible.

When grafting Lagerstroemia indica, we can choose the seedlings which are robust, have no serious diseases and insect pests and are thicker than 0.6cm as the rootstock. If the branches grow vigorously, they can be grafted in early April of the following year.
