In 664 AD, Wu Zetian listened to politics by handling the Shangguan Yi incident, which was the famous two saints in the history of the Tang Dynasty. Since then, Wu Zetian has established an equal position with Tang Gaozong in front of ministers.

2. Yangzhou Uprising

In September of the first year of Guangzhai (684), Saint Li Zetianshun set out for Yangzhou, calling herself General Kuang Fu, and led the governor of Yangzhou. He started his career in the name of diligent king to save the country and restore Li Xian, king of Luling. King Robin wrote the famous "Ask Wu Zhao for Xu Jingye" to call on the whole world.

Li's foot soldiers soon increased to more than100000. The marquis of Wu abolished Li's surname, and sent Li Xiaoyi as the viceroy and Wei as the deputy viceroy.

Li's subordinate Wei suggested attacking Luoyang, the eastern capital, and suggested that he go south to Changzhou and Runzhou (now Zhenjiang, Jiangsu). Li listened to the advice, crossing the Yangtze River to capture Runzhou first, and then fighting Li Xiaoyi in Gaoyou in the north. Li won the first battle, but the soldiers were exhausted after a long battle. In November, Li Xiaoyi defeated Li's army with fire, and Li fled to Runzhou, where he was killed by his subordinates, leading to civil strife.

3. Wu Zhou and Tang Dynasty

The Wu, Zhou and Tang Dynasties seized power by a coup in the first year of Tang Ruizong (AD 690). At noon on September 9th, Wu Zetian ruled Tianmen, granted amnesty to the world, and changed the Tang Dynasty to the Zhou Dynasty, becoming the only orthodox female emperor in China history.

4. Yingzhou Rebellion

Yingzhou Rebellion refers to a resistance war launched by the Khitan Dahe Tribal Alliance under the leadership of leaders Li Dezhong and Sun Wanrong from 696 to 697 (from the first year of Wu Zetian's long live to the first year of Magic) because of dissatisfaction with the rule of the five-state regime, and then suppressed by the Turkic khanate after unifying the five States.

This war not only made the Wu Zhou regime pay a heavy military price, but also triggered a series of border issues. More importantly, it forced Wu Zetian to change her attitude on the issue of heirs, from supporting Wu Shi to supporting Shi Li, which laid the foundation for Shi Li's recovery from the Datang regime.

5. Dragon coup

The Dragon Coup, also known as the Dragon Revolution and the Coup of Five Kings, was the first year of the Dragon (705). Prince Li Xian, Prime Minister Zhang Jianzhi, Cui Xuanyong and other ministers staged a mutiny in Wei Zicheng, the capital of God, forcing the female emperor Wu Zetian to abdicate and restore the Tang Dynasty.

On the 22nd day of the first month of the first year of Shenlong (February 20th, 705), Zhang Jianzhi, assistant minister of Fengge, Cui Xuanyong, assistant minister of Luantai, Jing Hui, general of Zuo Yulin, general Huan of You Yulin, and Yuan, the principal offender, contacted Li Duozuo, general of You Yulin, and Li Xingzong, general of Zuo Yulin.

Trying to establish Li Xian as the monarch, falsely calling Wu Zetian Toy Boy-I stood in prison for Zhang Yizhi and our servant Zhang Changzong to rebel, led the imperial army to kill Zhang Yizhi and Zhang Changzong, and then surrounded the Hall of Jixian, forcing Wu Zetian to abdicate.

The next day, Wu Zetian appointed Prince Li Xian as the supervisor. On the third day, give up. On the fourth day, Li Xian officially reset. On the fourth day of February (March 3), the restoration of the country was named Tang Dynasty, and the court of Wu Zhou Dynasty ended. Because of the factors of regime change, it is called revolution.

When Tang Zhongzong attacked the five heroes, he first made them county kings and deprived them of their power as prime ministers: Cui Xuanyong, king of Boling County; Zhang Jianzhi was named King of Hanyang County; Jing Hui, King of Pingyang County; Wang Huan of Xiangyang County; Yuan, the king of Wan County. So the Dragon Coup is also called the Five Kings Coup.
