Why are Jews still waiting for the Messiah?

Jews believe that the Messiah came to be king, and that he could save Israel from other countries and let the Jews live a happy life from now on. The Lord Jesus came into the world, which is completely different from what Jews think of as the Messiah. They hope that the Messiah has the ability to save them from the iron hoof of Rome and build a kingdom on the earth, while the Lord Jesus wants to overthrow the kingdom of heaven. This is two different understandings. So the Jews thought that the Lord Jesus was not the Messiah and crucified him. So Jews are still looking forward to the arrival of the Messiah. Of course, the Lord Jesus will come again, but for the second time.
