Fortune Telling Collection - Ziwei fortune-telling - There is a Sunday in Thailand.

There is a Sunday in Thailand.

"I don't know what it is, but it is deep." As a Chinese teacher who has been teaching in Thailand for three months, I have fallen in love with this smiling country. What happened? Let's take you to see if there is a Teacher's Day in Thailand.

On the first day of arriving at the teaching point, I saw many students sitting around the ground. There are all kinds of flowers and green leaves, candles, foam sprays and various decorations on the ground. My Thai colleague said that this is the preparation made by the students for Teacher's Day, and they are making bouquets for their teachers to express their gratitude.

Sunday is an important festival and activity day in Thailand. Every June, schools all over the country can choose any Thursday to hold activities, and making bouquets for teachers is one of the most important contents of Teacher's Day.

Students sit around, some weave banana leaves, some string garlands, some bundle incense sticks ... They are too absorbed. The first time I saw such clever children, I couldn't help stopping to see how they did it.

They first made a frame out of foam, then tore the banana leaves into small strips and folded them into small leaves. Then they carefully fixed the small leaves neatly on the foam with pins, and then inserted flowers as decoration.

They made all kinds of bouquets, as well as fruit bouquets carved from all kinds of fruits. If I hadn't seen them with my own eyes, I couldn't believe that these flowers were designed and made by the students themselves.

On the first day of teaching in Thailand, I was impressed by Thai students' unconstrained creativity and super hands-on ability. After that, the teacher will give awards to the students' works, and judge the outstanding works according to the standards of beauty and creativity respectively. The winning works will be awarded by the principal and certificates will be awarded at the Teacher's Day ceremony, which is a great honor for the students.

Teacher's Day is the first festival I attended after Thailand. On the first day, I was surprised to see the exquisite bouquets made by students. I didn't expect the Master's Day the next day to shock me even more.

On Master's day, the auditorium was full of fragrance, and everyone's face was filled with happy smiles. Thai teachers are all dressed in uniforms, thousands of students hold jasmine rings and bouquets, and student representatives of each class hold flowers. The scene is spectacular.

On Sunday, the statue of the king was worshipped and the headmaster delivered a speech. Although I can't understand half a sentence of Thai, let alone the scriptures they recite, I can feel the piety of Thai people. The music around the auditorium is melodious, and students play live with national musical instruments, making Teacher's Day more sacred and solemn.

All the students knelt on the ground and sang praises for the teacher together. Next, the students presented flowers, and a row of teachers sat in front of the rostrum, holding bouquets on behalf of the students and bowing to the teachers. The teacher took the bouquet and returned it to the students with folded hands. The students all kowtowed in return.

After that, the students paid tribute to the teacher in turn. Holding jasmine rings, they went to the teachers in rows, knelt down neatly, and bowed their heads and presented flower bracelets. After receiving the gift, the teacher will point a white spot on the students' foreheads, touch their heads and say some words of blessing and encouragement to the students.

For a China person, it is a great feeling to see this scene. As the saying goes, "men have gold under their knees, so they kneel to their parents." Kneeling is a sign of respect, worship or high respect. In modern China, both men and women will not bow their heads easily. Bowing is still common in Thailand. Bowing is a sign of respect. Students bow to their teachers, which shows the high status of Thai teachers.

After the Teacher's Day ceremony, students will bow down to their favorite teachers again, and many students who have graduated will return to their alma mater to bow down to their former teachers.

A large group of students ran to the teacher, naughtily asked for a hug, and then sat the teacher in a chair. They knelt in front of them, chatting, singing and sending flowers. Many students cried while chatting, and the teacher also shed tears. Although I don't know what they are talking about, I am moved by the deep feelings between teachers and students.

I thought they would only bow to the teacher on Teacher's Day. Then one day, the student came to hand in my homework, and I asked him if he could understand it in class. Unexpectedly, he plopped down on his knees, which surprised me and thought, "Oh, my God, what is this?" I can't afford such a big gift. " Help him up quickly, but he didn't mean to stand up at all.

I dare not ask any more questions and let him go. Later, I gradually discovered that Thai students also respect their teachers in their daily lives. Students should take the initiative to avoid the teacher, put their hands together, bend over and bow, take off their shoes when entering the teaching building, and kneel on the ground when asking questions to the teacher. Now, three months later, I'm used to this etiquette.

Mother's Day

Besides Teacher's Day, there are many festivals and activity days in Thailand, such as sports meeting, summer season, ASEAN Festival, Mother's Day ..... Every festival is grand and teachers and students attach great importance to it. For these activities, students don't have to attend classes, and some Thai teachers will make handicrafts, props and rehearsals for students during class hours.

Every activity, I have to admire the imagination and creativity of the students. They can use discarded bottles and cans as props to turn several plastic bags and a piece of cloth into a gorgeous dress. Almost all the props for their activities are made with friends. Their performance is a visual feast.

Waves of breeze blew on my face, "Hello, teacher", Zhang Tianzhen's lovely smiling faces, and the dribs and drabs in my life made me gradually like this warm country. Everything here is unforgettable, life goes on, and more unforgettable stories are in the future.
