Where is the origin of Lingbi stone?

Lingbi stone is mainly produced in Anhui and Jiangsu.

Lingbi stone is a very special lithology, which contains a lot of chromium, manganese, hydride and multi-element nitride, making it appear unique brown. Because of its low density, strong corrosion resistance, easy processing and forming, and difficult deformation, it is widely used in building materials industry.

In the mountainous areas around Yugou Town, Lingbi County, Anhui Province and Xuzhou, Jiangsu Province, with the continuous expansion of the scope of excavation, a number of stone producing areas have naturally formed, including Chulan Town and Sixian County, Yongqiao District, Suzhou City, Anhui Province, Lvliang, Ji Guo, Wiki, Yaozhuang, Zhancheng and Bayiji in Tongshan County, Xuzhou City, Jiangsu Province, and Gudun in Suining County.

The difference between Nanyang stone and Lingbi stone

Nanyang stone, also known as sulfur yellow stone, is produced in Nanyang, Henan Province. Lingbi stone, known as the first stone in the world, is mainly produced in Qingyun Mountain, Yugou Town, Lingbi County, Anhui Province.

2, the composition is different

Lingbi stone is a dense fine-grained limestone, and its mineral composition is mainly calcite, with a small amount of dolomite, pyrite and iron oxide. Nanyang jade is composed of altered plagioclase, and its main minerals are plagioclase, tetrahedrite, diopside, chromite, epidote and actinolite.
