What are the living habits of pythons?

Python is a large reptile. Common body length is 3-5 meters, with dark brown spear spots on the back of head and neck and black longitudinal spots on the head side. The ventral surface of the head is yellow and white, the back is brown, taupe or yellow, and there are large clouded leopard-like stripes on the back and sides with black edges.

Distributed in China, India, Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Nepal, Thailand, Vietnam and other Asian countries.

Pythons live in tropical and subtropical hilly evergreen broad-leaved rain forests and rocky mountain evergreen broad-leaved vine shrubs. Pythons like heat and fear cold. It can't live in areas where the monthly average temperature is lower than 8℃, and it will die when the temperature is kept below 6℃. 15℃ is numb, rarely moves at 20℃, only moves at 25℃, is active above 30℃, and is inactive above 35℃.

Pythons often curl up in streams or Woods, sometimes climb around trees with their backs, sometimes lie motionless on the ground, and sometimes get into caves. They go out of the cave day and night, but they usually hunt at night.

Python is big and nontoxic, and it moves slowly. Generally speaking, it will stay still near its prey. When the prey approaches, it will suddenly attack the prey, bite and strangle the prey with its body, and then swallow it from its head.

Python is an omnivorous snake. Its food includes not only fish, frogs, snakes and mice, but also birds and mammals, such as goats, pangolins and civets. Poultry is also delicious for pythons. They like mice and snakes. You can swallow large animals equal to or exceeding your own weight at one time. Although pythons eat a lot, they also have a strong digestive ability. Everything can be digested except the animal hair of the prey, but you can't eat for months after eating.

Pythons lay eggs. Every April, they spawn from June to July, with 8-30 eggs per fetus, with more than 40- 100. Eggs are big, usually 70 ~ 100g each, and the eggshells are soft and tough. Eggs are protected and the incubation period is about 60 days.
