Manjusri Bodhisattva and other immortals said the obsidian scriptures of good and bad luck, time, good and evil.

In the twenty-first volume of the newly revised Buddhist Grand Sutra (the fourth part of esoteric Buddhism), there is a classic called Manjusri Bodhisattva and the Obsidian Sutra, which specifically introduces the zodiac gods in western astrology and the astronomical planetary laws and calendars in the peasant calendar used by Taoism today. At the same time, it also teaches the disciples who practice tantric Buddhism how to understand the good and bad fortune of people with astronomical phenomena and calendars, as well as the fortune changes of everything in the world, the solar terms and the sacrificial methods of the twelve zodiac gods. According to xu teacher's textual research, the classics mentioned by Manjusri Bodhisattva can be called the originator of western astrology, and even western astrology originated from tantric Buddhism.

The Buddhist scriptures mentioned by Manjusri Bodhisattva were translated by Master Bukong, one of the three great achievements of Tantric Buddhism in the Kaiyuan period of the Tang Dynasty, at the order of the emperor. The scripture begins like this:

"At the beginning of the world, cold and heat were tempered into the sun and the moon, and the black rabbit competed for everything, and made a palace in a different place. At sunrise, I went straight into the starry sky and took a corner of Zhang Ji's room, heart, tail, bullfighter and so on for thirteen nights. As for the half empty night, it was divided into six palaces in the right place. However, the sun, the moon and the emperor all take the five stars as ministers, and the sun is fierce, and the things feel the same, and the Yang beast is the palace god; The moonlight is cool, things are connected, and the Yin worm Cancer is also a palace god.

The sun is just, the moon is soft and generous, justice helps the economy and benefits the ministers, and the sun and the moon are also given by the shrine. The sooner the five stars are, the better, that is, the stars are too white and not confused, ranking second, and the priorities are more important. Every twelfth house has seven obsidians, and every calendar shows good luck, good luck and bad luck. In addition, each palace has the shape of a god to show the image of the palace. There are nine feet of pipes in the other palace, and all kinds of people feel the same way. The moon is 50 days wide, so it is necessary to decide good or bad luck in Beijing. 」

"... the first star has four feet, Zhang has four feet, and the wing has one foot, which is in the same position as the sun. Its god is like the son of a teacher, so in the belly of a famous teacher, the master and the official get money. If the life belongs to this palace, the law is full of wealth and filial piety, and the army is also. The seventh virtual two-legged, dangerous four-legged, chamber three-legged, town star position. Its god is like a bottle, hence the name Aquarius Palace. If life belongs to this palace, Dharma will be faithful, knowledgeable and rich, and in charge of the school. The eighth room has one foot, four feet on the wall and four feet on the Wei Xiao. The position of the stars is very embarrassing. Its god is like a fish, so it is named Fish Palace, which is mainly to increase official positions. If life belongs to this palace, the combination of law and law cannot be lost, and there must be knowledge, wealth and loyalty, and hand in hand with officials. The ninth floor has four feet, a stomach with four feet and a full stomach. Its god is like a sheep, so it is called the sheep palace. God has something to do. If life belongs to this palace, Fah Dofford will live a long life, and he can bear the burden of humiliation and take charge of the kitchen. 」

The zodiac gods mentioned by Manjusri Bodhisattva in this scripture are "Aries, ox, fornication, crab, lion, virgin, scale, dwarf, bow, mill, Aquarius and fish", which is relative to "Aries, ox, Gemini, cancer, Leo, virgin and Libra" in western astrology.

This classic mentioned by Manjusri Bodhisattva tells us that the year, month, day and hour when we were born, the changes of the stars in the celestial phenomena, the ecliptic calendar and solar terms, including the changes in the operation of the Sun Palace and the Moon Palace (this day and the month), are all related to people's momentum, fate, all good and bad luck, disasters, Rong Lu, fortune, health, feelings, children and grandchildren.

Among them, there is even a saying that wealth is broken according to the month, day and time of the lunar calendar, and there are also good luck, small luck, what is not suitable, and so on. Moreover, according to the change of constellation and time, the god of Hexing Palace is on duty at a certain time in the sky and introduces what will happen on the earth at this time. More importantly, this passage teaches us how to support and worship the heavenly kings (palace gods), as well as kitchen gods, door gods, land gods, law gods and so on. , and how to make the food they use ... Therefore, the vastness and greatness of Buddhism really contains all the truth of our universe, which we ordinary people can't imagine. Buddhism spread all over the world 3,000 years ago, and the astrological method of five fights and twenty-eight stars in Buddhism spread to China, but it became the astrological method of China. As for the Chinese zodiac in Buddhism, it spread to the west, but it was finally carried forward by foreigners (foreigners), and we Buddhists should also reflect.
