Hankou Jiangtan Park Phase II Project

The pattern of the second phase of Hankou Jiangtan Park is the same as that of the first phase, but the design style is slightly different. According to reports, due to the limitation of scale and terrain, the first phase of Jiangtan is characterized by a winding path and adopts the traditional private garden design style of China.

The second phase has more room for manoeuvre in design planning, and the design style is open, atmospheric, concise and quiet. The main axis of riverside landscape runs through it, and the regionalization is more obvious. The total greening area of Jiangtan Phase II is about 300,000 square meters, and more than 0/00 kinds of greening trees and shrubs, such as Magnolia grandiflora, Taxodium mexicana, palm, osmanthus fragrans, Cinnamomum camphora and Lagerstroemia indica, have been planted. In the second phase, sculpture sketches 19 groups were set up, and more than 5,000 sets of various lamps were installed, which made the lighting effect beautiful at night. The designer regards the river beach as a public activity place for the general public, adopts western-style public garden design, and reflects the modern style with straight and wide avenues, large leisure sports lawns and Binjiang Square covering an area of 56,000 square meters. The third phase of Jiangtan project, from the Second Yangtze River Bridge to Houhu Shipyard, is scheduled to start construction in 2004. The planning will focus on preventing waves, forests and plant landscapes, and form a green corridor for leisure, entertainment and dike protection.
