What's interesting about peace county?

Peace county is located in Jiulianshan District in the northeast of Guangdong Province, in the upper reaches of Dongjiang River, on the border of Guangdong and Jiangxi. It is the first county that Beijing-Kowloon Railway and Guangdong-Jiangxi Expressway enter Guangdong southward. In the 13th year of Zhengde in Ming Dynasty (15 18), the county seat was located in Yangming Town, belonging to Huizhou Prefecture. It successively belongs to Dongjiang Management District, Peyo Management District, Huiyang District, Shaoguan District and Huiyang District.

The main places of interest are:

Gao Quan Temple: Located in the western suburbs of the city, it was built in the Kangxi period of the Qing Dynasty and was once the seat of Buddhism.

Songhu Anti-Japanese Martyrs Monument: It is one of the only two monuments in China to commemorate Songhu Anti-Japanese War, and it is a municipal-level cultural relics protection unit.

Baimianzhang Weizi Palace: Located on Baimianzhang Mountain in Xiache Town, at the northern foot of Ziyun Peak, commonly known as Baimianzhang, it is a municipal-level cultural relics protection unit.

Zhu Xiao, Li Andong: Located in Hanshi Village, Xiache Town, it is the former residence of Xu Fulin, a modern celebrity. His forehead is inscribed with "Li Andong Zhu Xiao" and couplets.
