As a result, the Linyi Municipal People's Government submitted it to the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress for deliberation, and named Yizhou Begonia as Linyi City Flower. Among the 35 participants, 34 votes were obtained, and the high vote was passed. Yizhou Haitang has become the city flower of Linyi.

In September, 2009, Linyi organized a public voting activity for the city flower selection. On June 65438+1October 10, the organizing committee office * * * received more than 2 valid votes, including "Yizhou Begonia" 1243982 and "Lonicera japonica" 90125000.

It is reported that this is the first hybrid flower grafted by farmers in China as the city flower.
