The planting area of flower seedlings is nearly 80 thousand mu, accounting for more than 95% of cultivated land. More than 90% of the farmers in the town are engaged in flower production, there are more than 6,000 flower and seedling brokers, and there are more than 50 landscaping enterprises with a certain scale, including 3 national first-class qualified enterprises and 2-class qualified enterprises 14. In 2007, the sales of flower seedlings was 2.5 billion yuan (including landscaping projects).

Jiaze Town was rated as "National Key Flower Market" and "Jiangsu Key Agricultural and Sideline Products Wholesale Market". It is a flower and seedling distribution and trading center in East China 10 provinces and cities, and the largest professional wholesale market for flowers and seedlings in China. In 2007, the transaction volume of this market reached 2.5 billion yuan. In 2000, Jiaze Town was named as "the hometown of flowers and trees in China" and "the national flower production demonstration base" by the State Forestry Administration and the China Flower Association. Jiaze Town actively integrates agricultural and tourism resources while developing flower and tree industry, and was successfully established as a national agricultural tourism demonstration site (town) in 2006. There are agricultural tourist attractions such as "one village, one field, two parks, two villages and three places". That is, Lubu Village New Rural Demonstration Site, Xiaxi Flower and Tree Market, Yilin Garden, Weiziyuan, Ficus carica Base, Grass Pot Flower Base and Vegetable Sister Base have become beautiful business cards of Jiaze in different styles.
