What if the leaves of tomatoes and melons grow white?

Tomato leaves with white spots are infected with tomato leaf blight. Leaf blight mainly harms the leaves, stems and calyx of tomato, especially on the leaves at the flowering and fruiting stage, and rarely harms the fruit stalks and fruits. Usually, the old leaves near the ground get sick first, and then gradually spread to the upper leaves.

At the beginning of the disease, small round spots appeared on the back of the leaves, and soon round and nearly round spots appeared on both sides. The edge is dark brown, the center is gray-white, concave, with a diameter of 2 ~ 3 mm and dense black particles (conidia).

Because the lesion is shaped like a fish, it is called fish spot disease. When the disease is serious, the leaves gradually turn yellow, and the plants are precocious, leading to early defoliation. The diseased spot on the stem is oval and brown, and the diseased spot on the fruit is brown and round.

Symptoms of leaf blight

Produce some small black spots on the lesion. Such as Osmanthus fragrans leaf blight (also known as leaf blight), Chimonanthus praecox leaf blight and Cuiju leaf blight (also known as leaf blight). The diseased leaves turn yellow at first, and the yellow part gradually turns brown and necrotic.

From the local to the whole vein, it presents brown to reddish-brown leaf margin lesions with wavy edges and dark colors. The boundary between disease and health is obvious, and sometimes there are yellow shallow bands with different widths on the outer edge. Then, the lesion gradually extends to the leaf base until the whole leaf turns brown to grayish brown. Then black fluff or black spots appear on the back or front of the diseased leaves.
