(A) the four control elements

In China's astrology, there are five elements that control things, namely, gold, wood, water, fire and earth. In western astrology, there are only four kinds of fire, air and water, which control three of the twelve constellations respectively.

Fire: It symbolizes energy and excitement. Aries, Leo and Sagittarius are affected by fire.

Qi: It symbolizes calmness and deep thought. Libra, Aquarius and Gemini suffer indignities.

(2) Three characteristics of constellation

Western astrology divides the twelve constellations into three characteristics: dominant, fixed and flexible.

The dominant features are Aries, Cancer, Libra and Capricorn. This constellation belongs to the leader type.

Taurus, Leo, Scorpio and Aquarius are fixed features. This constellation belongs to the organizer type.

Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius and Pisces belong to the variant characteristics. This constellation belongs to the paying type.

In addition, western astrology also divides the twelve constellations into two categories: positive constellations and negative constellations. Positive constellations are Aries, Gemini, Leo, Libra, Sagittarius and Aquarius. People who belong to this constellation are mostly enterprising activists and idealists. Negative constellations are Taurus, Cancer, Virgo, Scorpio, Capricorn and Pisces. People who belong to this constellation are mostly introverted and passive strategists.

(3) Constraints between constellations and planets

Western astrology believes that each of the twelve constellations is restricted by a planet, the sun or the moon. Their limitations are as follows:

Aries is restricted by Mars, indicating courage, action and impulsiveness;

Taurus is restricted by Venus, indicating endurance, determination and love;

Gemini is restricted by mercury, which represents intelligence, flexibility and wit;

Cancer is restricted by the moon, indicating emotion, tolerance and popularity;

Leo is restricted by the sun, indicating nobility, will and determination;

Virgo is restricted by Mercury and represents analysis, absorption and logic.

Libra is restricted by Venus, indicating luxury, sociality and explanatory power;

Scorpio is limited by Pluto, expressing enthusiasm, creativity and compassion;

Sagittarius is restricted by Jupiter, indicating fairness, openness and generosity;

Capricorn is restricted by Saturn, indicating efficacy, practicality and stability;

Aquarius is limited by Uranus, representing creativity, strength and insight;

Pisces is restricted by Neptune, indicating inspiration, understanding and sympathy.

(4) Sun Palace, Moon Palace and Life Palace

In western astrology, there are several concepts such as "Sun Palace", "Moon Palace" and "Life Palace".

"Sun Palace" refers to the influence exerted on a person when he was born at a certain time and place by the sun passing through a zodiacal palace illuminated at that time. "Moon Palace" refers to the influence exerted by the moon. For example, people born before night are influenced by the moon. "Life Palace" (also known as "lucky star" or "star position") refers to the exact time when a person was born and reached the zodiac above the eastern horizon.
