Kunming Heilongtan Taoist Temple

Black Dragon Pool is located in the northeast suburb of Kunming12km. The scenic spot was built in the twenty-seventh year of Ming Hongwu (1394). Because there is Bitan Lake at the foot of the mountain, the lake is deep blue, so it is named Black Dragon Pool. It is said that a black dragon lives in seclusion here.

Black Dragon Pool is a Taoist temple, which is divided into upper view and lower view, and the Black Dragon Pool is located in the lower view. Black Dragon Pool, also known as Dragon View Spring, is a famous Taoist temple in ancient times, which is said to be the seat of Heishui Temple in Han Dynasty. Black Dragon Pool consists of two groups of Taoist buildings. Longquan view hidden in the shade is called Shangguan, and the Black Dragon Palace near the deep water of Bitan Lake is called Xiagong. In addition, there are three ancient trees in Black Dragon Pool, namely Tang Mei, White Pine and Tea. In the past, Black Dragon Pool has always been characterized by strange water and ancient trees, and it is called the "four wonders" of Black Dragon Pool.

The attractions of Black Dragon Pool mainly include Longquan Temple above and Black Dragon Palace near Bitan, which are hidden in bamboo forests and ancient trees in the sky. The scenery is very beautiful. There are five wonders in Black Dragon Pool, one of which is "two waters intersect, but the fish don't go, and one bridge crosses the water, with different colors". When tourists stand on the stone bridge in the middle of the Black Dragon Pool, they will find that the water in the south pool is blue and the water in the north pool is yellow. On the top of Guanbei Mountain in Longquan, stands a seven-story octagonal solid wind tower with dense eaves and a height of thirteen meters. This tower has existed in ancient times, and its construction date cannot be verified. Legend has it that this tower holds the cold wind in the north, and there is only "misty rain at four o'clock" in Black Dragon Pool every year, with picturesque scenery and no winter in Kunming.

Black Dragon Pool also owns the largest plum garden in China, covering an area of 427 mu, with more than 6,000 plum plants (pots) in 87 varieties including red, white and green. It is a good place to enjoy plums at the end of the year.
