Di 'anmen is one of the important landmark buildings on the central axis of Beijing, and it is the north gate of the imperial city, while Tiananmen Square is the south gate of the imperial city. The correspondence between the north and the south means peace between heaven and earth and good weather.

Di 'anmen is one of the four gates of Beijing Imperial City. The main entrance of the Imperial City is called Tiananmen Square (Ming called Chengtianmen), Dong 'anmen, Xi 'anmen and Bei 'anmen. Ming called Bei 'anmen, commonly known as Houzaimen, also known as the back door.

2. Wumen

The Wumen Gate is the main entrance of the Forbidden City, located on the north-south axis of the Forbidden City, with a height of 37.95 meters. It was built in the 18th year of Yongle in Ming Dynasty (1420), rebuilt in the 4th year of Shunzhi in Qing Dynasty (1647) and rebuilt in the 6th year of Jiaqing in Qing Dynasty (180 1).

Located at the southernmost tip of Tiananmen Square on the north-south central axis of Beijing, south of Chairman Mao Memorial Hall.

Founded in the 17th year of Yongle, the Ming emperor (14 19), it is one of the "Nine Classics" in old Beijing. It is a complete ancient defense building system, which integrates Zhengyangmen Gate Tower, Arrow Tower and Wengcheng.

5. Xuanwu Gate

Located in the south of Xicheng District. In the Ming and Qing Dynasties, it was one of the nine gates in the inner city of Beijing, and later it evolved into a title, which generally refers to the east and west streets of Xuanwu Gate and the vicinity of the inner and outer streets of Xuanwu Gate. Founded in the Ming Dynasty, it was originally named Shunchengmen and renamed Xuanwu in the fourth year of orthodoxy.

It is one of the south gates of the inner city. Now it refers to Xuanwumen East Street and West Street; The inner and outer streets of Xuanwu Gate meet at the west side of Zhengyangmen, and the east side is opposite to Chongwenmen, which is the west one of the three gates in the inner city south.
