What beautiful buildings are there around the Hushi rockery?

Hu's rockery in Huanxiu Mountain Villa is located in the east of the park, and its tail extends to the northeast. The whole rockery covers an area of only over 300 square meters, accounting for13 of the whole park. There are all kinds of things on the mountain, including cliffs, peaks, caves, valleys, platforms and ramps.

Moreover, Ge Yuliang's handling of the whole mountain is very meticulous and close to nature. Every stone and every seam is properly explained, and he can appreciate it from far or near, and is known as "Jiangnan is unique and unique".

To the west of Huanxiu Villa is a corridor running through the north and south. One side of the porch is against the wall, and the other side is open to the rockery, which is slightly concave and convex. The attic built on the corridor is patchwork and has a charm. There is a half pavilion on the south side of the porch, opposite to the four halls.

The whole park is compact in space and ingenious in layout. The layout of the whole park is dominated by Dong Chi, which makes people feel that in a flat area, a mountain suddenly rises and stands above Yuan Ye.

Although the mountain is not high, it is as majestic as a boulder. The shape of Qianshan Mountain is quite similar to that of Lion Mountain in the western suburbs of Suzhou. The main peak is protruding before, and the secondary mountain is behind, which is majestic and steep and echoes.

One mountain and two peaks stand tall, giving people the feeling of cliffs. The Pinggang low hills in the east and north of the main mountain are continuous, which makes the main mountain not only feel majestic, but also feel galloping.

A ravine with a width of about 1.5m and a height of about 6m is formed between the front and back hills. Although the mountains are separated, the momentum remains the same, from east to west. The tail behind the mountain seems to extend endlessly and be cut by the wall. It is believed that this is the overlapping mountain method in the Qing Dynasty.

There are flowers and trees between the primary and secondary peaks, which makes the whole garden feel deep and natural. The main peak in the southwest is set off by several low peaks, and the canyons on the left and right sides are framed by Liang Shi. Standing on the Liang Shi, looking up, the sky is clear, looking down, several songs are clearly discernible, forming a lively art garden.

To the southwest corner, the rockery forms a cliff, and the dynamic trend continues to tilt outward, facing the pool, and the water in the pool bends like a belt. There are curved bridges and flying beams on the water shelf for traffic. The foot of the mountain is connected with the pool water, and the foot of the shore is empty, just like a natural water cave and the source of spring water, which is vivid and natural with the majestic rocks.

To the north is the autumn boat. The autumn boat faces the mountain pond in front and the yard in the back. The shade nearby blocks the sun, and the peaks and rocks are steep. The mountain here takes large vertical stones as the skeleton, stacked into vertical stone walls, and the peak ends are closed, forming a beautiful peak pulled up from the ground. The peak posture splits obliquely into the river, just like the axe splitting method in the painting.

There are two valleys before and after the main mountain, one is a mountain stream flowing from northwest to southeast, and the other is a valley in the east-west direction. Rivers and valleys meet in a T-shape in the center of the mountain, which divides the main mountain into three parts, with peaks and valleys in appearance and ethereal caves inside.

Above the mountain stream, connected by the flat Liang Shi, the front, back, left and right set each other off, with subject, object, hierarchy and depth. And because the mountain is real and the valley is empty, there is a contrast between reality and reality.

All kinds of flowers and trees are planted on the mountain. Peony blooms in spring, crape myrtle blooms in summer, chrysanthemum blooms in autumn, and cypress trees towering in winter, which makes the landscape of rocks full of vitality.

There is a small pavilion behind the rockery, facing the mountain and the water, with a small cliff and a stone pool on the side. Because of the meaning of "four clear reflections on a green pond", it is named "a well with half a pond and autumn water".

The trees around the pavilion are clear and shady, and the branches are dry, which is very interesting. Out of the north of the pavilion, down the stone steps, the mountain stream is low and the peaks are rugged, just like being in the forest.

Ge Zhe's rockery inherited the "brushwork" of Shi Tao, a famous landscape painter in Qing Dynasty. It has both the posture of distant mountains and the distinct texture of mountains, and is regarded as a treasure by countless gardens.
