Composition 1 About Suzhou Botanical Garden This morning, the fog was very heavy, the breeze brushed my cheeks, and it rained a little from time to time. That's a wonderful feeling!

My mother and I went to the botanical garden to participate in popular science practice activities! After everyone gathered, we walked into the gate to take a group photo, and the event officially kicked off!

First of all, the commentator gave us a detailed introduction to Hosta flowers. One or two Hosta flowers stood there alone, protecting the grass next to them like lightning rods. Then he introduced us to the flowers on the other side. The petals of this flower are like the claws of a cockroach, so it is also called a cockroach flower. Its petals are red, like a red sun standing on the lawn. Later, the commentator introduced crape myrtle, osmanthus and wisteria to us.

Then the commentator took us to a small room and shared many interesting plants with us through the big screen. Do you know pitcher plants? Do you know what it lives on? Let me tell you something! There is a gourd-shaped insect trap at the end of the leaves of Nepenthes, which will secrete fragrance, attract insects and slide into the bag. Nepenthes then secrete amines, confuse insects, corrode them and absorb nutrients from them. The commentator also told us why it is a flash in the pan, why there are holes in the leaves of bamboo, and so on. It is really interesting!

Finally, I each made a printing bag. Only flowers, leaves, etc. Stick a layer of paper tape on the cloth bag, then spread it evenly on the paper tape with a hammer, and the color of the flowers will be very stylish and printed on the cloth bag. It looks beautiful and smells faint. Sometimes the juice is not particularly thick, so the print is not obvious, and we will gently decorate it with pigment. After a long time, we finally printed them all. Everyone has different designs on their bags, but they are all beautiful. We took another group photo with our bags on our backs, and the activity ended successfully.

Through this popular science activity, I gained a lot of knowledge and a handbag made by myself. I hope I can come here to participate in activities next time.

In the afternoon, my father and I went to Suzhou Botanical Garden in Dayangshan. There are many places to play, but the best are two super-large plant greenhouses. One is a tropical plant greenhouse, the other is a desert plant greenhouse.

We went to the tropical greenhouse first, and as soon as we walked in, the heating inside rushed over like a heat wave, which was very different from the outside. The plants in it are large and small, tall and short, lying, sitting and standing, and all kinds of strange shapes.

The strangest and most unique thing in it is kapok. When you hear kapok, you will definitely think of the soft and comfortable texture, but what are its branches like?

It must be one of those low shrubs with smooth branches. It's all upside down. Not low at all, but thick and high. Not smooth, rough and hard, with many big and hard thorns. I don't want to stop there for the time being.

Then, we went to the desert greenhouse, where the heating was very hot and almost all the plants in it had thorns. What is different is the Queensland bottle tree, which has no thorns and is replaced by small leaves.

It is shaped like a big bottle, and the most prominent thing is that it has a big belly. It turns out that its hometown is Queensland, Australia. Because of the tropical dry and wet climate, it doesn't rain for several months a year. In order to adapt to this climate, this trunk can store a lot of water. So the trunk is full of water, which is very interesting.

Botanical garden is fun, and you can learn knowledge, killing two birds with one stone!
