Why can't the holy doctor be with Mingjun?

In the play, the holy doctor is good at refining medicine, and pursues and prays for his king's longevity with the holy soul. For a hundred years, only women have been virgins and have never seen strangers in their lives. Occasionally, they will adopt abandoned baby girls to continue their nation. The play, adapted from the novel of the same name by Wires, tells the love story of Jin Mi, the daughter of the goddess of flowers, and Xu Feng III, the son of the Emperor of Heaven, who fell in love and watched for more than a thousand years. The play premiered on August 2nd, 20 18 in Jiangsu Satellite TV, and was broadcast simultaneously by iQiyi, Tencent and Youku.
