Meng Renfu, a woodcarver in Ming Dynasty, is famous for creating woodcarvings embedded with gold and silver threads. Most of the vessels made are antique cups, Yi Zun and Yi, inlaid with gold and silver wires, and have inscriptions, which are extremely simple. Sun once made two rosewood barrels. The barrels were engraved with a picture of Tao Yuanming enjoying chrysanthemums, with four seal characters of "Tao Yuanming enjoying chrysanthemums" embedded in silver thread, and the bottom was engraved with "Made by Meng Renfu". Sculpture and silver inlay are exquisite. Today, there is a woodcarving wine brand inlaid with silver wire made by Meng Renfu in Nanjing Museum.
