Yancheng Museum has a number of national first-class cultural relics, represented by carved pottery pots in Neolithic Age, lotus petal-patterned eight-series pots in Sui Dynasty and iron plates cut in Song and Yuan Dynasties.

Yancheng Museum was established in 196 1. It is a comprehensive museum that studies and reflects the local history and urban development of Yancheng, bearing the historical and cultural memory of Yancheng and telling the glorious story of Yancheng for thousands of years.

With a total construction area of 30,700 square meters, the new museum integrates collection, exhibition, research, education, service and communication. The overall architectural style is classical and elegant, with 1 basic exhibition hall, 3 special exhibition halls and 2 temporary exhibition halls, displaying more than 2,000 cultural relics and exhibits.
