In June 2020, 1 1, Xiao Ai's classmate 5.0 was officially released at the Xiaomi Developer Conference. Xiao Ai upgraded from a voice assistant to an intelligent life assistant, which brought five AI scene capabilities upgrades: full-scene intelligent collaboration, conversational active intelligence, customized emotional voice, multimodal fusion interaction and intelligent learning assistant.

Xiao AI is Xiaomi's artificial intelligence voice interaction engine, and also the AI virtual assistant of Zhilian Everything. It is installed in many Xiaomi eco-chain devices, such as Xiaomi mobile phone, Xiaomi AI speaker and Xiaomi TV. It is also used in eight scenarios: personal mobility, smart home, smart wear, smart office, children's entertainment, smart travel, smart hotel and smart learning.
