Introduction to Aries

Aries is the first sign of the zodiac, located in the southwest of Taurus and east of Pisces. Every year from June 5438 to mid-February at 8: 00, Aries is above our heads. The four stars Pegasus and Andromeda in the autumn sky make up a big box. Draw a straight line from the two stars in the north of the box and extend it to the east for one and a half times, and you can see Aries. The two brightest stars are the two horns of Aries.

Although Aries is unremarkable, it is also the zodiac, so its position in astronomy is still very important. The vernal equinox was in Aries before 2000, and now it has moved to Pisces. Every April 18 to May 14, the sun runs in Aries, and the solar terms such as Grain Rain and Changxia on the ecliptic are all in this constellation. Aries is a very dark constellation, in which only the next alpha star with brightness of 2 and the beta star with brightness of 2.6 are slightly more significant. The three main stars in the constellation are arranged in the shape of an old pistol. From late autumn to spring, it always flashes in the sky.

The three main stars of Aries, α, β and γ, form an obtuse triangle structure, which is very easy to identify without light pollution, but its other stars are dim and difficult to distinguish.
