When was the Wang Teng Pavilion built?

Wang Tengting was built in Hongzhou (now Nanchang), the son of Li Yuan in Tang Gaozu, and it has been the peak of classical architecture in China for hundreds of years. During the Zhenguan period, Yuan Ying was sealed in Tengzhou, Shandong Province, hence the name Wang Teng. She once built an attic in Tengzhou and named it "Wang Tengge".

Today's Wang Tengting is very elegant, with the style of pavilions and terraces in the Song Dynasty. Rebuilt at 1985. It is the 29th reconstruction since ancient times. It is said that it is based on the "Wang Teng Pavilion Reconstruction Sketch" once drawn by a generation of architectural masters Liang Sicheng. Only Liang Sicheng, who has thoroughly studied the "architectural style", can inherit the style of Song architecture and make great achievements in the architectural art modeling of this new pavilion.

The net height of Wang Teng Pavilion is 57.5 meters, with nine floors in total, which is a typical pavilion format of "Sanming and Seven Darkness" in Song Dynasty. Among them, there is a cloister overlooking the Ganjiang River in the Ming building, and there is a cloister connecting the two auxiliary pavilions of Yajiang and Cui Yi in the north and south.

The reason why Wang Tengting has been destroyed and built repeatedly is that it has always been regarded as an auspicious geomantic architecture in ancient times. There is a famous old saying: "The vine breaks the gourd scissors, and the tower breaks the jade chapter." Here "Teng" and "Teng" are homophonic, referring to Teng Wangge; "Gourd" is a treasure; "Tower" means the Golden Sage Tower; "Pi" means collapse.

This ancient ballad means that if Tengwang Pavilion and Jinsheng Building collapse, Nanchang's talents and wealth will be lost, and Nanchang will be destroyed and no longer prosperous.
