After bloody lochia passes, it will become serous lochia, the time is about 10 day, while white lochia lasts for about 3 weeks, so postpartum lochia usually ends completely within 42 days, so children will turn red when they eat milk. Why?

Theoretically, it has little to do with red lochia, and other reasons need to be considered, such as poor involution of uterus, pelvic infection, poor uterine contraction and so on. Under normal circumstances, there are many lochia at the beginning and the color is bright red. The lochia discharged by some parturients is dark red, which will gradually turn pink, and the amount will gradually decrease until the end. But occasionally lochia will turn red, and it will last for a day or two. If it lasts for a few days, you should go to the hospital.

It is abnormal that lochia still flows out within 42 days after delivery. Moreover, lochia suddenly turns red and irregular bleeding occurs. You should go to the hospital for a B-ultrasound examination first to see if there is any residue or infection in the uterus.
