Why is Ophiuchus not in the zodiac?

Ophiuchus is the only constellation connected with another constellation-Ophiuchus. Ophiuchus is big and wide, rectangular, and the equator of the celestial sphere passes through this rectangle diagonally. Although Ophiuchus spans a short galaxy, the center of the Milky Way is Sagittarius, not far from Ophiuchus. The Milky Way has a prominent part here, forming the widest area of the Milky Way.

In addition, although the ecliptic crosses Ophiuchus, Ophiuchus does not belong to the ecliptic. Every year around165438+1October 29th, the sun passes through Ophiuchus until it enters Sagittarius in February of 17. Scorpio has no solar terms on the ecliptic, and Ophiuchus has a solar term of heavy snow.

Constellation experts have many differences.

Objection: Prince Xing said that astrology refers to the twelve constellations evenly distributed on the ecliptic, and Ophiuchus has only one foot in it, which is very small and does not constitute the zodiac at all. Online that Ophiuchus is the zodiac sign is simply ignorance. As far as astrology is concerned, Ophiuchus does not need to be discussed at all.

Objection: Constellation expert Beibei said that whether Ophiuchus should be included in the thirteen constellations has been discussed abroad for a long time, which may be meaningful from an astronomical point of view; But astrology is not hot, and now the twelve constellations will not change. In fact, it's like arguing about whether there is a God. There is no conclusion at all, and there is no need to argue.

Support: Constellation expert Wang Zhongping said that since science has confirmed that the zodiac passes through the thirteenth Ophiuchus, astrology should also keep pace with the times, and Ophiuchus should be included in astrology and studied.

Many astrologers are afraid that the definition of the characteristics of the twelve constellations they have studied will be completely changed for a long time, subverting the original astrological cognition and then rejecting Ophiuchus, which is wrong.
