What are the main constellations in the southern sky?

The International Astronomical Union divides the sky into 88 official constellations with precise boundaries. There are nearly 6,000 stars visible to the naked eye, each of which can be classified as a unique constellation. Each constellation can be identified by the shape of the bright star inside. The 88 constellations are divided into three celestial regions, 29 in the northern hemisphere and 47 in the southern hemisphere, near the equator and ecliptic 12.

I don't know what a "main constellation" is, but among the constellations in the southern hemisphere, the most famous one is the Southern Cross. Others that don't sound so strange are: Southern Constellation, Bojiang Constellation, Phoenix Constellation, Cygnus Constellation, Telescope Constellation, Compass Constellation, Antarctic Constellation, Square Ruler Constellation, Celestial Constellation, Peacock Constellation and Rhododendron Constellation.
