Yuzuru Hanyu didn't know his name was grapefruit. China flower skating fans gave Yuzuru Hanyu a lovely nickname, Grapefruit, because in his name HanyuYuzuru, Yuzu's Japanese pronunciation is homophonic with Grapefruit.

Some people call him Haniu according to Han Yu's pronunciation.

Early experience

Yuzuru Hanyu was born in Sendai, Miyagi Prefecture. His father named him Knot String, which corresponds to his son's constellation. Secondly, I hope his life can be as relaxed as a bowstring, and he can have an awe-inspiring attitude towards life when he is nervous. When Yuzuru Hanyu was two years old, he was diagnosed with asthma, weak and often fell ill.
