Brief introduction of tidal constellation

Swordfish is in the southwest of carina, which contains the famous Magellanic Cloud. It was discovered by Portuguese navigator Magellan when he sailed around the world to South America in 1520.

In fact, this "Large Magellanic Cloud" is an extragalactic galaxy and a companion galaxy of our Milky Way, with a diameter of 50,000 light years and a distance of160,000 light years.
